Riverwalk Pavilion

Location: Chesapeake, VA

Role: Architect

Owner, Erin Powell, completed this custom design for a neighborhood lake pavilion. The existing dock remained and a new pavilion was constructed to allow access from the walkway and fishing in the lake. 

The pavilion architecture was influenced by existing neighborhood vernacular. A copper cupola tops a roof with exposed rafters. Horizontal metal railings enclose the walkway and footprint. 

This pavilion is enjoyed by adventurous children on a fishing adventure, dogs, and walkers alike.
